NuVo Technologies’ Music Port Server (NV-MPS4) provides up to four streams of iTunes, Windows Media Player and/or internet-based audio content to a NuVo whole home audio system. It not only automatically accesses and centrally stores PC-based audio files, but also enables browser-based control of a NuVo system.
As an audio source that works with NuVo’s Grand Concerto, Essentia E6G and Renovia whole home audio systems, it brings internet-based and PC-based content to homeowners through the same in-wall and wireless interfaces they use to access all other NuVo sources.
Music Port Server also greatly expands the controllability of a NuVo system; through its client software, users now can control a NuVo system through any network-connected web browser. Music Port Server can stream audio from the internet as well as store thousands of audio files on its hard drive.
With its four stereo outputs, Music Port Server can act as up to four sources on a NuVo whole home audio system. It makes sense of the various audio files previously stored in different programs on various PCs throughout a house, going so far as to seamlessly merge all iTunes and Windows Media Player audio content. Streaming audio sources available through Music Port Server are Sirius Online, XM Online and Pandora.
